1972年東京生まれ。写真家。1997年の1年間渡英し語学を学ぶ。帰国後周囲の勧めで写真を学び始めた。カメラ雑誌の執筆や写真講師など幅広く活動する一方、2019年に東京・目黒に写真ギャラリー Jam Photo Gallery を開設し、著名写真家の企画展や若い写真家への場の提供、アマチュアの育成にも力を注いでいる。国内外のストリートスナップで作品を発表しながら、視覚障害者の人々を取材し「みること」をテーマとした作品にも取り組んでいる。2025年第33回林忠彦賞受賞。

Ikuko Tsurumaki
Born in Tokyo in 1972, she is a photographer. In 1997, she spent a year studying English in the UK. After returning to Japan, she began studying photography at the urging of those around her. While she is active in a wide range of fields, including writing for camera magazines and teaching photography, in 2019 she opened Jam Photo Gallery in Meguro, Tokyo, where he is dedicated to hosting exhibitions by renowned photographers, providing a venue for young photographers, and nurturing amateur photographers. While presenting her work as street photographers both in Japan and abroad, she also interviews visually impaired people and works on the theme of "seeing." She will receive the 33rd Hayashi Tadahiko Award in 2025.
